Privacy policy
Controller under the GDPR:
Hannes Duve, reachable at hannes.duve@outlook.com.
Purpose of this site:
This static site presents software development services. No user accounts are created and no marketing newsletters are sent via this site.
Hosting and retrieval:
The site is served as static files (e.g. via a web server / CDN). On each request, the host processes technically necessary data (e.g. IP address, time, user agent) to deliver and secure the site. Please refer to your host’s privacy policy for details.
Contact by email:
If you email us, we process the data you provide (e.g. sender address, message content) to handle your request. Legal bases: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (pre-contract / contract) and/or Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in responding).
Scheduling (Calendly):
We use Calendly (Calendly LLC, USA) for booking. When you use “Book a call”, you are directed to Calendly; their terms and privacy policy apply. Data may be transferred to the USA; Calendly uses appropriate safeguards (e.g. Standard Contractual Clauses). See https://calendly.com/privacy
Booking link used: https://calendly.com/hannes-duve-pbqa/30min
Site analytics (legitimate interest):
We run first-party click telemetry on our own server when you click the Calendly booking link (scheduling clicks), to understand the lead funnel (which pages lead visitors toward a call). We do not set analytics cookies. On click, your browser sends a short event (page path, language, button placement, timestamp) to our server on the same domain. To reduce bot and duplicate noise we store a pseudonymous visitor key (derived from your IP with a server-side salt; we do not store the raw IP). Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest). Analytics retention: up to 12 months, then deletion.
Access logs:
The web server keeps access logs (e.g. IP, time, requested URL). We may derive logged page views for content pages from these logs for the same funnel analysis, subject to the same analytics retention (12 months).
Local settings (theme):
Your theme choice (light/dark) may be stored locally in the browser (localStorage). That is not site analytics and does not use analytics cookies.
Your rights:
Subject to applicable law, you may have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and objection. You may lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.
